Event Details

Every year over a million people take part in National Science & Engineering Week (NSEW) events around the UK. Funded by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, NSEW is the UK’s widest grassroots celebration of science and provides a platform for a diverse range of organisations to reach out to new and existing audiences with events and activities that communicate the wonders of the sciences and engineering. It next takes place from 9-18 March 2012 and the theme will be "Our World in Motion".

At this workshop you will find out about:

  • Funding hints and tips
  • Hands-on activity ideas
  • Details of the 2012 theme “our world in motion” and mass participation activitie
  • Free resources for organisers
  • Additional NSEW projects you can take part in
  • Talk from a previous NSEW events organiser.

You will be able to network and brainstorm ideas with other event organisers from a diverse range of organisations including schools, colleges, universities, museums, local community groups, charities and businesses.
